How do I register a student for Edutest testing?
To submit an Edutest registration visit the relevant school’s website and review their application information, including eligibility criteria and any additional requirements that the school may have.
Most schools provide a link on their website to submit an Edutest registration; other schools provide the link directly to families.
Click on the link provided by the school.
If you have previously registered with Edutest login with your email address.
If not, click on the Register button, enter the relevant parent and student details and click submit.
How do I know if a school has additional application requirements?
Some schools will have additional application requirements, so please read the school's registration information, published on their website or provided directly to you, carefully.
OK
How do I register for more than one school?
Visit each school’s website for information on their application process and either follow their link to register with Edutest or, if required, submit an application or expression of interest to the school first.
All Edutest applications must be submitted under the same parent account, ie the same email address.
Why do I have to pay more than once to register for multiple schools?
Each school sets its own application fees which must be paid for each school to which you are applying.
Payment is required regardless of whether the student needs to sit a test or the results will be transferred from an earlier testing.
A separate application, including payment of the application fee, must be submitted for each school prior to their individual application deadline.
OK
How do I register more than one student?
After registering the first student you will need to click on the school's registration link again to register the next student.
If necessary log in to your parent account again and you will see a link to Add new child. Click on this link and enter the details for the next student.
OK

If you are unable to log in to your account to update your email address, please email our helpdesk at info@edutest.com.au so that we can assist you.
You will need to verify your details before any changes can be made to the account.

Requests for information related to an application or account can only be accepted from the parent registered on the Edutest parent account.
Any email enquiries requesting information must come from the registered email address.
For phone enquiries you will be required to verify your details.
OK
Can I withdraw a student's application and receive a refund?
Up to 7 days prior to a testing, requests for a refund should be emailed to registrar@edutest.com.au and include a reason for the withdrawal.
Any requests will be considered on an individual basis by the finance department in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
No refunds are provided within 7 days of a school’s testing date.
Note: all approved withdrawals are subject to a 25% administration fee. Some schools’ application fees are non-refundable and where this is stated, no refunds will be considered.
OK
What do I need to do if a student has a serious, ongoing medical condition or diagnosis?
If a student has a serious, ongoing medical condition or diagnosis e.g. diabetes or anaphylaxis which you believe the school needs to know about for the testing day, an email must be sent to registrar@edutest.com.au prior to the registration closing date.
If a student has an Action or Management plan for their condition, please provide this as an email attachment.
The document will be shared with the school where the student will sit the testing.
OK
What does the statement There is no sharing or transferring of results mean?
If this statement appears in the registration pages or in the special conditions for a school then the school does not allow the results from their testing to be shared with other schools or does not accept results from testing held at other schools.
All students applying to that school must complete the testing for that school regardless of whether they have sat an Edutest test at another school.
OK
How are results transferred?
If you apply to multiple schools for which the results transfer process applies Edutest will send the results to each school after their testing date has passed.
Each school will independently consider the student’s results and application.
Results can only be transferred to schools with a testing date after the date the student has sat the testing and cannot be back transferred.
OK
Can a student re-sit the testing rather than having their results transferred?
The results transfer process applies to all applicants who have applied to schools who are part of this process. No exceptions will be made.
Students may only sit the testing once during a testing cycle.
Can a student sit a test in one calendar year and have their results transferred for a test in the following calendar year?
As students will be tested at their current year level, results cannot be transferred from a school with a test date in one year to a school with a test date in the following calendar year.
OK
Do all students need to sit the testing?
Most Edutest client schools require applicants to complete the Edutest tests. Information about application requirements is outlined on each school’s website.
Many schools are part of the results transfer process which means that students only need to sit the tests once in a testing cycle even though they may have applied to multiple schools.
OK
Can we choose where a student attends the testing?
Students who are registered for multiple schools within one testing cycle must sit at the school with the earliest testing date.
If two schools share the same testing date you may email a sitting location request to registrar@edutest.com.au prior to the registration closing date. We will consider this request and may be able to accommodate it, depending on capacity at the preferred venue. We cannot guarantee your sitting location request will be granted.
OK
What time and where is the testing?
If the student is required to attend a testing session, in the week of the testing you will receive an email with the specific details for the testing. This will include the starting and approximate finishing time of the testing and the location, which is usually the testing school.
If more than one school has been applied for and results transfer applies, the testing will take place at the school with the earliest testing date.
We suggest that the student is available all day on the testing date.
If the student is not required to attend a testing session, you will receive an email in the week of testing, indicating that your child is not required to attend. Their results from an earlier testing will automatically be transferred.
OK
What should the student bring to the testing?
The testing information email sent to you prior to the testing day will include a letter from the school with all of the testing day details, including what the student should bring to the testing.
This may include stationery items, photo ID, supporting documentation and/or a snack/drink.
The following items are not permitted in any Edutest test: calculators, rulers, dictionaries, working out paper, mobile phones, smart watches and fitness trackers.
OK
Do we receive a copy of the results?
Edutest does not provide parents with results from the testing.
It is up to the individual school to decide if and when a parent report outlining the student’s performance is made available.
OK
When will I know the outcome of the student’s application?
Each school's selection process timeline differs and can take from 3 to 8 weeks from the date of the testing.
Please check the school’s website and the testing information letter for information.
