Online Practice Tests

Online practice tests are available for students who are currently in years 4-11. Younger students may find benefit in accessing year 4 practice tests as preparation for an examination.

NOTE: There are only 3 sets of practice tests for Year levels 4, 5 and 8 - 11, and 6 sets at Years 6 and 7.  It is possible to repeat these tests, however the content will not change.  No refund will be given should you choose to repeat a test that has already been completed.

We recommend that students attempt practice tests at their CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR LEVEL.

You are able to select any year level you like for a practice test.  If your child has already completed all tests at their current year level, you may wish to select tests at a higher level.

NOTE: Once you have selected a practice test the year level CANNOT BE CHANGED for the remainder of that test. You are able to choose different levels for subsequent tests.

The practice tests cover the following four sub-tests:

1. Verbal Reasoning
2. Numerical Reasoning
3. Reading Comprehension
4. Mathematics

The actual scholarship examination will also include a Written Expression component.  It is not possible to include the written expression component in an online practice test.  Please read the important information on the Scholarship and Testing information here:  Scholarship and Entrance testing information

Online practice tests:

• All tests are multiple choice.
• Each test has 20 practice questions.
• There are 6 tests available at years 6 and 7, and 3 at all other available year levels.
• Students may go back and change an answer if needed.
• Once completed, each test provides instant feedback in relation to correct and incorrect answers.
• Once a student accesses the tests, the student can pause a test at any stage if they wish to take a break, and re-enter at their convenience.
• You do not have to complete all sub-tests, or tests, at the one time.

To do a test again: If you wish your child or another child to use a practice test that has already been completed, please log into the practice test account and select start new test.  You will see an option to RERUN a test.  Rerunning a test will use one of your test credits.  Please choose carefully as no refunds are given.

Please remember that the online tests are designed to make students feel comfortable with the style and format of the questions they are likely to encounter in a scholarship/entrance examination.  The practice tests are not coaching tools.  Practice tests are not timed and do not entirely duplicate the examination material.

NOTE: Practice tests are valid for a 3 MONTH PERIOD. 3 months from the date of purchase the practice tests will expire and no longer be valid for completion, or accessible for revision.
